I have read all the MacNachton's stories, well at least the eight stories I found about them. I hope H. Howell continues writing about them and the battles the clan has against outsiders who believe them demons.

I really enjoyed Bothan's story, much more than Calum's. I was under the impression at first that Bothan and Calum were Cathal and Bridget's sons. It made sense having one son with a 'C' name for Cathal and the other a 'B' for Bridget, but when Bothan talks about his parents in the book, he doesn't refer to the laird and his wife. He states his father married 3 years after the laird and that his mother was a Callan and sister to the laird's wife. That is exactly the story of Jankyn and Efrica in 'Highland Vampire'. Bothan also mentions an older brother who is more 'Outsider' than 'Pureblood'. I assumed he meant David, Jankyn's son with Mora.

In 'Highland Hunger' Raibeart MacNachton's story, taking place 38 years after the 'Eternal Highlander' it is mentioned that Bridget and Efrica are pregnant again, so obviously Efrica had more children. I know in Heming's story 'Highland Thirst" he is mentioned as being the child of Jankyn and Efrica, but no other siblings are spoken of. What is weird is that in 'Highland Beast' Gybbon MacNachton's story, he mentioned his parents are also a MacNachton and Callan. He says his mother is the sister of Bridget, referring to Efrica, yet when he speaking of Heming, he refers to him as his cousin and not his brother. That makes no sense.

The only thing I can think of is H. Howell got her characters confused. She really should have made Bothan and Calum, Cathal and Bridget's sons. Gybbon should have been the son of a MacNachton woman and one of Bridget's brothers. It was mentioned a few bastards were born to some purebloods after encounters with Bridget's brothers.

I have loved all Hanna Howell since reading her first book from zebra. I read every book she writes and that I can get my hands on. these books are very lovely stories about a time period that fantasize about. none of the Gore but all of the lovely times and love.
Both stories were great. Authors writing the same series independently could be iffy, but these are completely on point with one another. Loved them both!
I loved this book! I love vampire books especially Hannah Howell’s, they are not the bad guys!
Couldn't put down
Excellent book a must read and with each word that is read you really are hooked, what an excellent writer! I never want to miss a book in every series and I highly recommend this book and all books by this author! Fantastic book, you will not want to put it down, I know I didn't and I wanted more and I feel that you will also! Great, Great, Book!
Once again, Hanna hit a home run with me with her on going story's of the MacNachton clan & their search for their "Lost ones' & linding thier perfet mate, thier perfect matches in the possess. She give me hope & determination, that YES I will find MY perfect mate. The other two story's are good as well. They give me a peek into a diferent mind set of what a Vampier is & what their lives are all about & how when finding your perfect match, your perfect mate. It will & does turn your life upside down when you do &when you finally acsept what is trun wheather you are human or super natural. True love is true love & it inpacts us all in the same way. That & the other story's alway's turn my mind to new ideas as to what life CAN be if you choose it to be. Thank you ladies for giving me a touch of real life insight through your story's & your carictor's. As alway's Hanna willstay in my library & will be read over & over again. Thanks from Sf in Westminster Co.
